New STEM apprenticeship in water technology

UK technology business G2O Water Technologies has expanded its laboratory team with the appointment of Misbah Yousaf, Apprentice Laboratory Technician.  Misbah is the first employee to join the company on an apprenticeship scheme and we are delighted to be able to offer her the opportunity to start her career in Science and Technology with G2O.

As part of the apprenticeship, Misbah will attend a further education college located close by to our Daresbury laboratory and complete her Level 3 Laboratory Technician Apprenticeship. In addition, G2O will support her success with mentoring and on the job training and provide the opportunity to apply learnings gained through her training programme with the college.

Tom Pugh, VP Product Development commented “I am delighted to welcome Misbah to the team. Misbah’s appointment provides the team with critical support within the laboratory and enables us to continue to expedite performance tests on the exciting range of products we are launching into the market.”

Chris Wyres, CEO commented, “I am delighted that we are able to offer opportunities to individuals keen to develop their skills and build a career in Science and Technology. Misbah has integrated well into the team and impressed us with her positive attitude and eagerness to contribute to our product development activities. We look forward to supporting her journey.”

To establish the apprenticeship scheme, G2O received support from The Liverpool City Region Apprenticeship Brokerage team, who provided advice and guidance on funding and sourced an appropriate provider to deliver highly relevant apprenticeship training.
